  11.3 formation of the future

The future has nothing to do with the conditional. The only reason to put them in the same chapter is the fact that they are formed in a similar way. The endings of the infinitive are omitted, what remains is the radical and to the radical the corresponding endings were added. We have to distinguish, as in the case of the conditional, between the verbs ending in -ar and -er at one side and the verbs ending on -ir on the other side. As in English there is the future I (I will do it / I am going to do it) and the future II (I will have done). The simple future describes an event / action which will happen in the future and the future II describes an event / action as something finished in the future before another event / action will happen (I will have cooked when he will arrive.)
