  10.3.5.5 which tense of the congiuntivo ?

Why this clear distinction between present tenses and past tenses is to be made we will see in chapter 18. For those who speak French or Spanish we want to make clear that, despite the fact that the pasado perfecto / passé composé are tenses of the present, it is a tense of the past in Italian and it is a tense of the past even in the regions of Italy where he has not assumed the function of the passato remoto.

We were sure that they will pay.
