Pinocchio diventa un ragazzo

Il burattino nuota senza sosta per ore, finché non si accorge di essere al limite delle proprie energie. Proprio nel momento in cui è sul punto di arrendersi, interviene il Tonno, anch’egli fuggito dalla pancia del Pescecane, e li trascina fino a riva. Qui i due incontrano il Gatto e la Volpe, ridotti in miseria, i quali chiedono il loro aiuto. Pinocchio però non si lascia imbrogliare e prosegue il suo cammino. Padre e figlio giungono così ad una capanna dove trovano ad aspettarli il Grillo-parlante: egli non ha dimenticato il cattivo comportamento di Pinocchio, ma decide comunque di perdonarlo e accoglie così i due naufraghi. Il burattino allora chiede subito della Fata, che però è partita poco prima. Pinocchio pensa quindi di procurare del cibo per il padre e il Grillo lo manda da un ortolano lì vicino a comprare del latte. Il burattino obbedisce, ma l’uomo vuole essere pagato. Pinocchio non ha denaro e quindi decide di ripagare l’ortolano tirando su l’acqua dal pozzo. Poco dopo viene sapere dal contadino che questo compito era in realtà destinato a un asino, che però è troppo malandato per lavorare. Appena il burattino vede l’animale, capisce che si tratta di Lucignolo e si riempie di tristezza. Nelle settimane a seguire il burattino si trasforma in un bambino modello: ogni giorno lavora per l’ortolano per procurare del latte al padre, ricomincia a studiare e appena risparmia un po’ di soldi va’ a comprarsi un vestito nuovo. Giunto al mercato incontra una Lumaca, che gi rivela il triste destino della Fata, la quale giace moribonda in ospedale. Pinocchio disperato le dona i soldi destinati al suo vestito affinché glieli porti. Il giorno seguente però una bellissima sorpresa attende il nostro amico: al suo risveglio infatti egli scopre di non essere più un burattino, ma un bambino vero. Nella tasca del vestito nuovo che si ritrova magicamente addosso trova un biglietto della Fata che gli rivela di essere l’autrice del miracolo e i motivi del premio: dopo tante disavventure egli è finalmente diventato un bambino buono. Pieno di gioia festeggia col padre, anch’egli miracolosamente guarito.

Pinocchio becomes a boy

The wooden dummy swims non-stop for an hour until it realizes that it has reached the end of its strength. Just as she was about to give up, the tuna, which also escaped the shark's belly, appears and drags her to shore. There they find the cat and fox in miserable circumstances, begging for help. However, Pinocchio does not allow himself to be duped and continues on his way. Father and son arrive at the hats, where the talking cricket awaits them. She has not forgotten Pinocchio's malicious behavior, but decides to forgive him and takes the two shipwrecked in with her. The wooden doll immediately asks about the fairy, but she has left shortly before. Pinocchio is now trying to get something to eat for his father. The cricket sends him to a nearby gardener to buy milk. The wooden dummy obeys, but the man wants to be paid. Pinocchio has no money and consequently decides to pay the gardener by drawing water from the well. A little later he learns from the farmer that this work was actually intended for a donkey, but that it was too run down to work. As soon as the wooden doll sees the animal, he realizes that it is Lucignolo and is deeply saddened. In the weeks that follow, the wooden doll becomes a model boy. Every day he works for the gardener to get milk for his father. He goes back to work and as soon as he has saved up some money, he goes to buy a new dress. When he arrives at the market, he meets the snail, who tells him about the sad fate of the fairy who is dying in the hospital. In desperation, he gives her the money that was intended for his clothes to bring to her. The next day, however, a wonderful surprise awaits our friend. When he wakes up, he discovers that he is no longer a wooden doll, but a real boy. In the pocket of his new dress, in which he is suddenly miraculously clothed, he finds a letter from the fairy, which states that she is the cause of the prize. After so much bad luck, he finally turned out to be a good boy. Full of joy, he celebrates with his father, who was also miraculously healed.
